FOR BROKEN PEOPLE

People are quick to judge and label others – especially those they consider “broken.” Broken people can be categorized as trash and quickly discarded by society. We cast them aside, send them to prison, live on the streets, or banish them from society. We disable them from making any contribution. Once marked defective, they are unwanted for work and shunned by friends and even family.

But I know the collective magic of these “broken” people. People whose edges might not be smooth, may have erred in their formation, or are judged imperfect. They are the pieces of God’s beautiful mosaic – one that, without those “broken” pieces, could not be formed.
And when they are handled with care, shown their place in the big picture, and joined with others similarly situated – a masterpiece unfolds.
Never forget your worth, your place in the world, your contributions, and the ones you are about to make. You are a work of art and you are loved.
